BIOGRAPHY

I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina and started my musical journey on the piano as a child. I received my AA in jazz bass from Pasadena City College in 2009 and moved to Denver, CO while touring the nation with my power trio: Fire in the Asylum. After those adventures ended, I graduated Cum Laude from Metropolitan State University in 2018, where I studied under the guidance of Ron Bland, Ron Miles, and Don Byron. During my Metro years, I performed Denver's KUVO and Boulder’s KGNU radio stations. I received the Colorado Merit Scholarship and the Special Recognition Music Scholarship.

In the last two decades I've played a plethora of genres and songs with more than 15 different projects and toured over 20 states. My current bands include: The Radio Band, Tracksuit Wedding, and the Phirejets. Some of my favorite past gigs include: The Hot Apostles, Eddie Turner, Tober Schorr, Moses Jones, and Fire in the Asylum. At present, I teach bass, piano, guitar, ukulele, and drums privately to kids and kids at heart (check out the contact section for more on this.) In 2019 and 2020 I taught bass for the non-profit Girls Rock Denver. Some of my favorite gigs so far include: The Denver Westword showcase, the Denver UMS festival, Denver People's fair, the Denver day of Rock, the Levitt Pavilion in Denver, the New Orleans Jazz Fest, Napa valley's Bottlerock festival, Bumbershoot, Boettcher Concert Hall, The Broadmoor Hotel, Arroyo Seco festival, The Mission Ballroom in Denver between others. In 2019, Tracksuit Wedding travelled as Michael Franti and Spearhead's opening for the Global Livingston Institute in Uganda for two music festivals. On that trip we got to record with Ugandan superstar Navio, our single "Faded Crown," you can find the video for it on the media section of my site. I've had the honor to open for bands like One Republic, Isaac Slade, Powerman 5000, and Grace Potter. It's been a wild ride and I loved every minute of it!
During covid I got to release an EP "Antoinette's Head," with 6 songs (find it on the media section.) This was a collaboration of friends around the globe in lockdown times, sitting in our homes trying to keep the music alive. My last single "12 grapes" was released in 2021. I am way past due for new releases, so stay tuned! Thank you and let it be Roq.
