BIOGRAPHY

I started playing the piano at the age of 5 in my hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina. I picked up the bass when I was 15 years old. I studied contemporary music composition at the University for a few years before moving to Brazil to play music on the beach. A year later I moved to California and I finished my Associates from Pasadena City College, where I studied bass with Zac Matthews. Upon graduation I moved to Denver with a band. Since then I have toured the USA and played a gazillion venues which I wouldn't be able to name in over 20 states with multiple projects.

After 10 years in Denver, I have established myself in the underground Denver music scene and received my BM in jazz bass from Metropolitan State University. At Metro I studied under the guidance of Ron Bland, Ron Miles, and Don Byron. I participated in jazz ensembles, the big band orchestra, the sinfonietta ensemble, and the African drumming ensemble; I performed on campus, at KUVO, and at Boulder’s KGNU radio stations. Also at Metro I received the Colorado Merit Scholarship and the Special Recognition Music Scholarship. Since 2020 I've been working regularly with Roger Len Smith, Eddie Turner, Tober Schorr, and the Northland Chorale. At present, I teach bass, piano, guitar, ukulele, and drums privately. In 2019 and 2020 I was able to donate my time to teach bass for Girls Rock Denver.
Some venues I've played include: The Denver westword showcase, the Denver UMS festival, Denver People's fair, the Denver day of Rock, the Levitt Pavillion in Denver, the New Orleans Jazz Fest, Napa valley's Bottlerock festival, Bumbershoot, Boettcher Concert Hall,The Broadmoor Hotel, and Arroyo Seco festival between other great shows. In 2019 I played two festivals with Tracksuit Wedding as opening act for Michael Franti and Spearhead for the Global Livingston Institute in Uganda.  I've had the honor to open for bands like One Republic, Isaac Slade, Powerman 5000, and great names as big as the Foo Fighters. It's been a wild ride and I love every minute of it!
In 2021 I started hosting "El Crawl Space", on Nucleo Rock Radio and Podcast. El Crawl Space is a show in Spanish with focus on the underground music from around the world, co-hosted by Fango and produced by Cristhian Fajardo.
